That’s what she said

...

When I was younger I recorded a live interview with a "celebrity" (me) and filled both sides of a cassette tape. I gave the interviewer (also me, in case that wasn't clear) an American accent as that seemed, to my stars and stripes obsessed teen self, the obvious thing to do.

So impressed was I with this early foray into journalism that a few days later I shared it with a friend...who  fell about in hysterics (thanks for that!) but I'm going to return to that format for this post while I try and sort out the writer's block that has plagued me for the last few weeks.

I love reading in magazines the replies people give to random questions; regardless of their celebrity status. I love that the answers are usually quite quirky and funny...even if the interviewee was none of those things (that's what us editors are for). But sometimes I think my answers would be much more interesting so I've decided to put myself to the test!

For lack of things to do you might want to take a few moments to ponder your own responses to the same questions...

1) Which side of the bed do you sleep on?
The one furthest away from the door so if we get attacked I'll have time to get away.

2) Are you a night owl or morning person?
I'm a night person. Why do you get labelled a goggle-eyed feathery creature just because sunrise gives you migraines?

3) What colour is your toothbrush?
Pink obviously.

4) McDonalds or KFC?

Well, I've never seen discount coupons for KFC in the Metro.

5) Do you have any allergies?
Chocolate, wheat, lactose, wastemen.

6) Any embarrassing moments?
Memories of dating wastemen.

Badly done Spice Girls...badly done.

7) What's your favourite part of London?

Westminster for sight seeing, Covent Garden to party, West London boutiques to shop, North London for the best gastro pubs and Primrose Hill to chill.

8) What advice would you give to a tourist visiting the Capital?
Take one photo for every ten you feel like taking. You'll annoy far less natives and save so much time on editing your albums when you get home.

9) What is your most annoying habit?
Needing to be right ALL the time.

10) Celebrity crush?
Channing Tatum/Ryan Gosling/Tyrese.

Yes please.

11) What can't you leave the house without?
Keys, lingerie and my waist beads.

12) How do you treat yourself?
I buy myself a pair of expensive shoes each year for my birthday. This year I got them from Sophia Webster and I'm obsessed with them!

13) What are you really bad at?

Keeping playdates when it's raining.

14) If you hadn't been born in this century, when and where would you

like to have lived?
I wasn't, I was born in the 20th century and I am so glad. The 21st century has been pretty nuts! I sometimes wonder what it would have been like growing up in California; surfing all day, partying all night.

90s

15) Who are your heroes?
Londoners who are always nice to tourists.

16) What do you like to do when no one's watching?
Perfect my dance moves in front of the mirror in my room.

17) Where in the world would you love to go?
Hawaii.

18) What could you not live without?
Assuming the basics like oxygen, food and water are a given; love, lingerie and my hairdresser.

19) What do you do to relax?
Read or savasana.
